The BodyTalk System
To Each a Unique Balance
In the BodyTalk System, we tend not to talk about addressing specific diseases.
Instead, the BodyTalk philosophy is that every person has a unique balance that
needs to be addressed. Once balanced, the clients own innate healing system
will successfully address symptoms and establish lasting patterns of good health.
Your Body's Own Agenda
Naturally, most clients arrive for a session with a health agenda, and this agenda
is addressed. However, the BodyTalk Practitioner does not make a diagnosis for
the purpose of establishing a specific session protocol. BodyTalk recognizes that
although two clients may appear to show the exact same symptoms, the communication
links needed to balance their conditions may be entirely different.
Some Commonly Addressed Conditions
Allergies; chronic and acute viruses; infections; parasites; fibromyalgia and
chronic fatigue; digestive disorders; headaches; injuries; reproductive disorders;
organ and endocrine dysfunction; fear, phobias, and emotional disturbances; stress
related illnesses; learning disorders; ADHD; back and body pain; and arthritis. In
addition, specific areas of rehabilitation, such as sports and accidental injuries, are
also addressed.
A New Perspective
One of the major areas addressed by the BodyTalk System is the realm of personal
and spiritual growth. Balancing the body biochemically, physiologically, and
emotionally, while addressing beliefs and attitudes, the BodyTalk System establishes
itself as a very powerful tool in the field of personal development.
Innate Wisdom of the Body
BodyTalk is based in the principles that the body is capable of healing itself at all
levels - as evidenced by the healing process that is automatically initiated when a
person cuts their finger or twists their ankle. The stresses of daily living can
compromise this innate healing ability and lead to degeneration and illness.
BodyTalk serves to remind the bodymind to direct its healing attention to these
neglected or compromised areas.
Asking The Body
The body can be asked what its health needs are through biofeedback testing. By
establishing a Yes/No communication between the practitioner and the client, the
body can instruct the practitioner what its balancing priorities are and in what
sequence.
Linking
Linking is the key to the new paradigm of treatment. Good health is predicated on
optimum communication among all systems of the body, The practitioner asks the
body what organs, endocrine glands, body parts, etc need to be linked in order to
reestablish good communication and facilitate healing.
The Tapping Process
The tapping procedure is one of the most important developments in the BodyTalk
System. Tapping on the body to get it to focus on healing has been used by some
indigenous holistic systems, such as yoga, for centuries. For BodyTalk specifically,
tapping on the brain to 'fix' the faulty communication and on the heart to 'store' the
fix facilitates the body's own ability to restore and maintain its optimum balance.
Exaggerated Breathing
Exaggerated breathing is often used to help the body locate and target the corrections.
Inhaling scans the higher frequencies of the bodymind including thoughts and emotions,
while exhaling scans the denser frequencies - tissue, muscle and bone.
What exactly happens during a session?
You cannot hurt anyone with BodyTalk. If you perform a
Technique incorrectly, it simply means there will be no result
or change. It will not make the situation worse.
1. Tailored Just for You
A BodyTalk session usually lasts between 16 and 60 minutes. The duration of a
session in not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur.
Because the client's innate wisdom is dictating the session, the client is assured of
receiving exactly what they need at that particular time for the enhanced
communication and balancing to take place. During this time, the client is usually
in a state of relaxation, is kept informed of the formulas being used, and is involved
in the process of the "tapping out." The clients innate wisdom will dictate when the
session is complete and establish a time when the client needs to come in for a
follow-up session.
2. Background and Communication
The BodyTalk Practitioner and client often begin by discussing the client's health
and other related issues that the client wishes to have addressed. Then, the client
may either relax in a chair or on a massage table while the practitioner positioned
at their side, uses the client's arm in a manner to initiate a method of neuromuscular
biofeedback. This Neuromuscular biofeedback is used to establish a Yes/No
communication between practitioner and client.
3. Destinations and Details
The practitioner works up and down the BodyTalk Protocol Chart asking for the
priority destination points. Once a destination is determined, the practitioner asks
for any additional details that are pertinent. The BodyTalk Practitioner will link
these destination points in the sequence indicated, thereby constructing a formula
needed to reestablish optimum communication within the bodymind.
4. Tap to Synchronize and Balance
Once all the information is gathered, and the formula is confirmed as the priority
for synchronization, the practitioner lightly taps on the client's head (brain), and
then sternum (heart) to facilitate the healing process. This tapping sends a signal
to the brain making it fully activated to "synchronize this formula now." Tapping
on the sternum sends a signal to the heart to "store this formula now," to anchor
the balance. Now the body can begin its healing process properly and efficiently.
